NHLoGIN News:

Windows 7 and Local Government - Friday Feb. 12, 1:30 pm at LGC In Concord

Windows 7 debuted in October of 2009 to praise from the IT world. Still we find ourselves asking, “What will be the impact of Windows 7 technologies on local government IT?”  To answer that question, NHLoGIN and Microsoft are teaming up to provide members and interested local government IT professionals an opportunity to learn more about Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Join us on February 12th, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the Local Government Center in Concord, NH.  Leslie Tan, Senior Technology Strategist from Microsoft, will be on hand to discuss what Microsoft is doing to increase the productivity, manageability and security of their new products as well as to answer your questions.  Click for agenda and presentation details.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to aschaffer at manchesternh.gov by February 5th.

2010 Membership Drive - Don't Miss Your Chance to Win A Notebook Computer

Membership in NHLoGIN is open to all those involved in local government here in New Hampshire, including elected/appointed officials and employees in any capacity.  Our collective membership is the source of NHLoGIN's influence.  Membership dues provide funding for our web portal, forums, presentations, meetings, and other services.

Membership renewals were mailed mid-January to 2009 members and subscribers.   If you didn't receive yours, or if you wish to become a new member, you can join NHLoGIN by downloading our membership application and mailing it in with payment.

As a way to thank those who support NHLoGIN through their paid memberships and also to encourage more individuals to join NHLoGIN, all who become paid 2010 regular or associate members by February 10, 2010 will be entered in a drawing for a new notebook computer.   As a paid member you can increase your chances of winning: an additional chance will be awarded for each additional new paid member based on your referral. Click here for details.

2009 LGC Conference

On Thursday, November 19, 2009, NHLoGIN sponsored three sessions at the New Hampshire Local Government Center's Annual Conference in Manchester.  Presentation materials from these sessions are now available and have been posted in the AllUsers forum

Per our bylaws, NHLoGIN's Annual Business Meeting was also held.  Elections were held for all elected Executive Board positions.  The new board members can be viewed on our Executive Board page

NHLoGIN expresses its sincere thanks to former Board member Patty Little, Keene's City Clerk.  Patty served on the NHLoGIN Executive Board for over ten years, including President and most recently as Secretary.  Her years of leadership and guidance are deeply appreciated.  We wish her all the best!
